After watching Chernobyl series on HBO, I'm against nuclear of any kind. Nasty shit!

Well you can't compare nuclear power to somebody dropping nuclear bombs on an atoll.
Gen 4 & 5 nukes are very safe and can't go critical even with a complete loss of coolant & power. The 3 Mile Island, Chernobyl, and Fukashima units were all gen 1. Actually Chernobyl was more like gen 0.5. Very unstable design.
But sadly, no one trusts nuclear anymore, despite hundreds of nukes in Europe that have been running safely for decades.
Hopefully, someone will finally figure out fusion. There are some promising results lately.
