Unseen 9/11 photos bought at house clearance sale

Archivists who bought a stash of CDs at a house clearance sale found 2,400 photos of Ground Zero in New York taken following the 9/11 attacks in 2001.

They appear to have been taken by an as yet unidentified construction worker who helped to clear up the wreckage of the World Trade Center towers and surrounding area.

The CDs were in poor condition but the data was ultimately retrievable.

I can't even look without chills,,,
Don't like when I happen to look up at the clock and see 9:11 .
I took (film) photos when they finally let us back into Manhattan,, I worked across from NYSE. I'll never, ever forget my evacuation trek home to Queens, and the smell that lasted for months.
Don't want to remember, but I'll never forget.

I will never Forget this Date and I didn't live in New York or washington .we Did visit Washington dc about a month or 2 after and the big tarp was still covering the pentagon ! we stayed right across the street from it on the 12 th floor of the marriott I think was the hotel. one of the best trips ever but eerie to .will say people were really friendly and helpful . we seen place we would of missed if not for the local's.
