I made a web page like 3 years ago (www.lwl.ca), and the guy wants to do some updates but I'm too busy now that I'm at U. So I get a phone call from an older man saying he is a web author and he'll be updating the page.

Well I burned the entire web page, including photoshop images on to a CD when I made the page. This moron calls me saying that I only put the web page on the CD, and not the text files, so he can't edit them in notepad.

Needless to say my laughter could not be supressed.

What's wrong with using Notepad for HTML editing? I personally would rather use VI or Emacs than Notepad, but it works well enough for some a quick edit or two. :)

Now writing a several page essay in Notepad, which I've done before, <i>is</i> crazy. ;)

Update: Just reread your post. Do you mean he actually thought it weren't possible to edit an HTML file in Notepad? If so, you should have changed the extensions from “.html” to “.txt” sent them back to him. <img src="http://www.pcabusers.net/forums/images/icons/lol.gif" width="16" height="16" alt="8D" />

I use notepad ONLY. No wysiwyg for me...

No the guy just kept double clicking on the files and they would come up in exploder. He didn't say much after I laughed at him. I explained it to him and he said 'alright thank*click*'
