something i don't need to worry about being in Florida any more . but this was something we did worry about when I lived in Michigan . we get some heavy snows and I had seen some major roof/ building problems. arise after bad winters from snow and Ice build ups . some years we made big money clearing roofs of snow after storms . also with service calls in the spring from damages it caused. thought I'd post this chart for you in the snow belts .(what you need to really look at is the last line item. its added weight from the snow it self. )
