Jesus. I didn't think that was possible.

Lightning strikes Jeep right in front of me while inside a Severe Thunderstorm Warning and Flash Flood Warning, just North of Waverly, KS. Married couple with a baby and 2 children under 2 years old. Everyone was safe.

Wow! Probably fried the electronics in the car - total loss?

That car is toast.

We had one down at the railroad museum that struck the rail and messed up one of our crossings. Luckily all the lighting suppressors in the cabinet exploded and saved all the relays. The track diodes were all open and had to be replaced. Took a few hours to trouble shoot what exactly got destroyed.
