I was wondering how Amazon scammers selling crap, merge reviews from a completely different and legit product into the reviews for the scam product. Linus finally explains.
I see this a lot when vetting suspicious items for friends. It'll be an SSD drive they're selling for way too good a price, with stellar reviews, but if you read the actual reviews you find they're all verified purchasers of a completely different product, like shoes for instance.

That's the same scam, had crazy reviews for completely different items. Amazon did eventually take the item down.
