She is alright. Just a bump on the head and a few bruises.

At first I thought she had been speeding, but a state trooper just happened to be a couple cars back on the interstate where it happened. He said she was not. She has only been driving a year.

She says she looked away for a second to swat a wasp off her arm, when the car went off the edge of the road. It rolled twice and laned upside down on the roof. The seatbelt broke and she was thrown from the driver seat all the way back to the back door glass. The only thing that kept her in the car was the seatbelt had wrapped around her leg. A friend of hers and a 4 month old baby, also in the car, didn't have a scratch on them, thank God.

On one hand I'm glad she is alright, but on the other MY CAR! I had just gotten it out of the shop a couple weeks ago after someone hit it in a parking lot and drove off.

The wasp was still on her arm when she crawled out of the wreck. Her friend flicked it off for her. :o

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnggggggggggggg................

Well, it's great that she is okay. As I have found out in my own experiences, a car is replaceable, albeit painfully. Hope that it works out for ya...

yeah, that's right. Broken seatbelts = bad news for manufacturers...

However...be an ethical American and don't claim millions of dollars worth of emotional scarring because you can't trust your seatbelt anymore. Please help us better our image as worthy inhabitants of the earth ;)

TG!!! everyone is okay.....that's brutal. And yes, cars can be replaced...people on the other hand cannot. Sure makes ya realize what you have to be grateful for, doesn't it?? Hope your sister is fine psychologically as well....I know how traumatic it can be to get behind the wheel of a car after an accident.

Exactly as others have said, at least she is ok.

I totaled a car when a young chick ran a stop sign and smashed into my front side which propelled me head on into a utility pole. Breaks and steering were not responding at all. My life flashed and I thought i was going to die. The pole cut almost up to the windshield which shattered as did the side windows. My sunglasses flew off but thanks to wearing a seatbelt and the working airbag, I only had bruised where the belt stopped me. A bit shook up though. But I was ok.

My brother wasn't so lucky. Driving his girlfriends kids in a jeep it rolled around a curve and one kid 3 years old died. Another will never walk again.

Then my nephew, he was driving his friends around and in the car was his best friend and one he grew up with since they were babies. Going around a curve the car rolled. His best friend died. :( A girl about 16 ruptured her spleen and later, well I'll not say what all happened later with the others parents. But you can imagine.

Yeah my brothers best friend died in a bad accident when he was 18. This kid had luekemia and was in 95% remission and doing really well. Was going around some S curves too fast, got sucked into the soft shoulder rolled the S-10 of his and head on into a telephone pole. He wasn't wearing a seatbelt. They found his body about 100ft from the truck. The kid with him was fine just bruised and cut up but was wearing a seatbelt. He lived on lifesupport for about 2 weeks but had no brain activity, 2 collapsed lungs, severe brain stem damag, ruptured spleen, and somethign was wrong with one of his kidney's. I tell ya i was friends with him too. Was really tough on my bro especially seeing his best friend like that. Was tough enough on him when he about died from the Luekemia and then that accident. It gave everyone in the town a good shock. I know i wear my seatbelt where ever i go these days. Not gonna take any risks.

I rolled my car once, but I came out of it with two small scratches on my head, and one small cut on my hand. I am glad I was wearing a seatbelt, caus if I wansn't, I don't think that I would be here right now(or would have atleast been seriosly injured) My uncle rolled his pickup and is still in rehab since november. At the time of the accident, the doctors didn't even know if he would live through the night. My moms cousins decided to run from the cops for a traffic violation a few months back, they ended up not making a turn going 130mph. The car rolled so many frickin' times that they don't even know. The driver wasn't wearing his seatbelt and flew about 30 feet from the car, and the passenger was wearing his seatbelt and was found unconsios in the car, but both are alright now. Also my aunts brother was driving on the freeway and swerved to avoid a matress or somethin' and his car stared flipping like crazy, he flew about 50 feet from the car(about 30 feet high) luckily someone driving right behind him called the hospital and he was airlifted, the passenger was wearing his seatbelt but was coughing up blood for the next two days. The weird thing about this one is that he was told that if he was wearing a seatbelt they garunteed him he would be dead right now. I have other stories but I'm sure u r all bored by now.
