It would have to be the Team Arena demo. 125meg. I'm on cable and it took about 10 minutes or so. Fastest download speed I've gotten was 650kb/s sustained (not just jumped up there and went back down) That's wicked fast. Usual download time for me is 100-300kb/s depending on the serer. I find 1-99kb/s slow ;) heh, I doubt I could ever go back to a 56k.

like 400 megs. I needed to download my "backup" of windows :) Took me quite some time on a cable modem. I believe like 3 hours or somewhere in that area.

In my old days I used to download ISO's over USENET. Most were between 500-700 megs. I recently downloaded The Sixth Sense from a friend. It was 2 gigs. On DSL at a steady 80-90 kbps it still took most of the night.

I think mine was 139 meg.. Some Big demo that came out.. I know I set it up in the evening, checked it the next morning, yep still going and after work it was done. I'm sure it ran for over 12 hrs easy. I know I was happy to have it after all that!
Funny thing is now I can get that same demo in under 20 min w/cable as long as I can keep other people from getting it around here the speed should stay.
Makes me nervious every time I see a Mediaone truck pull up.. theres another... and another.. Aw well, best count my blessing's and shutup.. :) Hopefully they'll just use it for text email's to Grandma at most.. Heh.

Biggest: Team Arena Demo (~121 MB)
How Long: 23 minutes
Connection: DSL

This past summer I was selected to be part of the Diablo II Stress Test. It took me almost 13 hours to download the ~100 MB file on a 56k modem.

Jesus HT, that some awesome speeds on your cable modem. I think I'm doing great when I get a 70-80k/sec download. I actually hit a little over 100 a few nights ago downloading some Quake 3 levels. The fastest I could download the Alice demo was 12 k/sec.

2.7gb. Downloaded an entire ghost image for a compaq deskpro EP. took about 2 days on our T1 at work (sucked to share that thing with 3000+ work stations at the time).

On modem, it was BeOS 4.5 bin/cue, 3 days on a 28.8 modem. (i wanted it that bad)

on DSL, it was probably Baldurs Gate, took I think a day or two for all the CD's.

on T1, (my servers colo) I've downloaded gigs upon gigs....

I have a friend that downloaded a...er, um, "backup" copy of Q3 on his 56k...says it took him like 3 solid days. Me myself, mp3's are an hour-long ordeal for me, so that's about the most I ever DL. Usually if I want a big file, I just have a friend with cable or dsl download it and burn it to cd or give it to me at a lan party...

Some really big files from usenet about 5 to 6 hundred megs didn't take that long though my dsl goes around 120 to 180 k a second sometimes over 200k I love my dsl and if something happened to it I wouldn't use 56k dialup(couldn't stand it) I just wouldn't go online till it came back up
