Nat Geo: Missions to the Moon

Post by FlyingPenguin »

It aired July 7th. Free on Comcast On Demand. I'm sure you can find it in the usual places.
As the world prepares to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first manned lunar landing, Emmy and Peabody Award-winning filmmaker Tom Jennings uses his signature style of first-person storytelling to create an immersive account that spans the breadth and depth of NASA’s Apollo Space Program.

Newly transferred film and audio recount the key moments of NASA’s Apollo space program and America’s
goal to land on the moon before 1970.
"Turns out I’m 'woke.' All along, I thought I was just compassionate, kind, and good at history. "

If you have a VR headset and an hour and a half, checkout the Apollo 11 VR experience. You can just watch or do the interactive thing, but just watching/experiencing it is amazing.
