I know I will...and then again when they release the better verson a few months later...GRRR.

And you know what ? They'll prolly release an uber-collectors DVD box in 2 years with all 3 parts and lotsa extra stuff ....

Actually I jsut read there are gana be 3 releases Prior to THIS christmas. Today's which is a 2 disk set woth 2 extra hours, November will have 6 extra hours, and prior to christmas there will be a FIVE dvd set released! Geez

That to me is taking advantage of the buying public. Great way for them to maximize their profits for sure though.

My wife pre-ordered mine on she picked it up on Tuesday.I didnt get to see it in theatres(hard to get a sitter sometimes)and let me just say I thought it was great.I havent seen a movie in a long time I enjoyed as much as I did LOTR tonight(since the original Star Wars).

I picked it up today at a nearby Costco for about 20 usd equivalent.

I just loved the movie as did 3 of my 4 teens. That scenery is incredible from NZ!

I hate double dipping studios! but at least they gave us fair warning.

I will probably pass on the extended 4 disc edition, the 3 hour cut is quite long enough for my taste. Great movie, can't wait for TTT this christmas.

I got it as well...great movie, I only wish the soundtrack could be better. Oh well, thats why I'm waiting for the DTS :E S on the extended edition.
