Anyone Have "The Warriors" DVD? Help!

THis is one of my all time favorite movies. I just got it on dvd and I love the movie but I am a bit disappointed with the dvd audio.
Can you tell me if this DVD is in surround sound on your home theater? I mean does it come through on the rear speakers at all? Or the subwoofer?
It doesnt on mine only on the front 2 and the center channel.
I dont know if its the dvd because its mono or if its my Yamaha receiver is not digital.
I have a Yamaha rx - v - 850 receiver that is Dolby Pro Logic 1 compatable but not dts.
any advice or info if I can make this movie sound better in surround?
If I had a dolby digital receiver would it play on the rear speakers and sub?
Does anyone have it to let me know?
