The newest 007 movie starts today, so who is your favorite Bond?
http://www.cnn.com/2002/TECH/ptech/11/2 ... index.html
Cnn has a vote for your favorite on the lower right side of various other favorites. One being favorite theme. And they left off 2 of the best imo. Their selections for best themes:
"James Bond Theme"
"Goldfinger"
"Live and Let Die"
"Nobody Does It Better"
"A View to a Kill"
I'd also put in there:
For Your Eyes Only - great first song by Sheena Easton
The Man with the Golden Gun - My favorite, by LuLu
They also have favorite Bond girl. Missing was my favorite, Britt Ekland from The Man with the Golden Gun. Pussy Galore from Goldfinger was getting the most votes. But, that must because of her name, I've always thought she was one of the ugliest bond girls.
Last they had favorite villain
They had:
Goldfinger
Jaws
Blofeld
Dr. No
Rosa Klebb
I always liked Jaws.
As for my favorite 007, I always preferred Roger Moore. Connery was always too arrogant for me as Bond, though since he left playing 007 he is one of my favorite actors. Brosnan is too much like a sissy.

Sean was always numero uno for me -
I remember standing in lines 8 blocks long to get into RKO Keith's theatre in downtown DC - which held about 3k people - it was a big deal to go to the movies and we always wondered what kind of t$a they'd slip into the opening titles

Accept no substitutes - Sean Connery is the original and the best...
Roger Moore always looked like someone who would never do anything that might wrinkle the crease in his pajama bottoms. Roger also hung on too long. He got way too old to play Bond. Of course, Connery came back and made the same mistake once....
Brosnan is OK and better than Dalton. Poor George Lazenby...

lol, a 007 sissy boy Brosnan? I'm not old enough to have seen the many Bond films. How long has Brosnan been a Bond?

Connery set the mark. Even my Irish mother {partial to Brosnan} says Connery is the best Bond.
imo Moore was a bit of a sissy boy. I can understand Moore being the best Bond for people-he's between the overly masculine Connery and pretty boy Brosnan.
The less said about Dalton and Lazenby, the better.
Brosnan has been Bond since 1994 and for four movies. He'll be back again for at least one more movie.

Some funny bits: Ian Fleming wasn't thrilled with the idea of a hairy Scotchman playing 007. :lol
Connery was replaced by Moore who is older than Connery.
Moore is the only true Brit.
Connery is Scotch.
Brosnan is Irish.
George Lazenby is Australian
Timothy Dalton is Welsh.
Jaws is the best villian for me.
A lot of good themes.
Seems to me they dropped the ball on some of the choices for favorite Bond girl category. Michelle Yeoh? How about Jane Seymour as Solitaire.
The whole James Bond thing has become pumping out movie after movie.
