Troy !!!
Who is going to see it ?
I love movies like this. I'm still questioning why they cast Bradd Pitt as Achilles. Homer and every other piece of greek literature says he was a big strong guy, But....So was Hector.

Saw it tonight with my son. It's a 3 hour epic! Brad Pitt does a great job as Achilles, the best warrior of the time.
After the movie was over, I was thinking that this type of film might have been spread out like LOTR. It's hard to sqeeze so much history into 3 hours, but nonetheless, I loved the film.

it too loved it...great movie but at times i found myself checking my watch....its funny you say that it could have been spread out because now that i think of it...a little more detail and it could have been insanely riteous...nonetheless...all 3 of us who went liked it
Oh, to have a cool sig....it’s my ambition...my goal....and yet, my inept creativity prevents the existence of such.
i hope they portrayed achilles and agamemnon better this time.
last movie i saw called troy was by sci fi channel (i think) or another made for tv movie shit, and it sucked severely. they portrayed achilles as a godless pos who killed for the hell of it, for fun, etc etc. and they had agamemnon rape helen for some reason i dont know.
meh.

I enjoyed this movie. Good action, story and interesting characters and with the epic proportions. I've always liked most movies in the spartakus, the vikings, 10 commandments, gladiator etc.. type.
But I thought pitt and the gal who played Helen did poor at acting. Pitt talks too fast and doesn't show proper emotion well. But that's me, and I've never liked him. What do the gals see in him anyway? And btw, most who saw this movie were females. Because of pitt.
I was impressed with eric bana's acting. That was a surprise. And peter o'toole did well as always. It was funny seeing the bad general from XMen 2 in this type of movie. Even Mel's bro from braveheart was in it.

oh and the bad dude from X2 was a main character in Big Fish (which i saw last week...another great film IMO)
and the guy who played Arthur in "Excalibur" played Otoole's sidekick....great cast all around....there were some HAWTEEZ in the film...not enough nooditee for the visual talent they had there

It was OK. PITt ruined it for me. But the actor playing Hector was Great.
