History Channel -the men who Built America

Post by reno »

wife put this on last night and it had me hooked into watching it from 8 pm till midnight or 12 :30 . thought it was very good and informative. something's we didn't know or forgot about reading in school. it covered the shakers in building America - focuses on the lives of Cornelius Vanderbilt, John D. Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, J. P. Morgan, and Henry Ford. it also touch on a lot of company's that are still around today and the history and size they once where.
talked about these companys and more - American standard oil, the railroads, Pinkerton , General Electric , Westinghouse, Tesla, J.P. Morgan, US Steel

Yes, very informative documentary. I guess educators don't like capitalist. To this day, no one on earth had more wealth than Rockefeller especially after the brake up of Standard Oil.

The History Channel also has other shows on how they got started like McDonalds or Hershey's chocolate - The Food That Built America.
