for a repair shop and not the dealer . your talking between $600 to $900. just labor . some dealers around me are at $225 per hour labor only.
it sure not like it was when I was young and do my own thermostat replacement on my cars. those mostly were v-8's . it was just remove 2 or 3 bolts off the thermostat housing and install a new unit add a new cork gasket with permatex . in 20 to 30 minute you were back on the road .
sure glad we took out a extended warranty and its picking up the tab on this repair. the car only has like 42,000 miles on it .
