new warranty - recall reimbursement question ?

Has anyone ever had a reimbursement made to them for a Factory Recall Repair ?
we apply for a recall reimbursement for a thermostat replacement. that we had done by my normal repair shop (not a GM Dealer ) about a year ago .
well guess what GM just was forest to do a recall for my exact problem on my wife's car. plus there having to give a 150,000 or 15 year warranty .what ever comes first . so we turned in the report from my repair shop with the repair bill we paid . that was a just over a Grand.
Im kind of wondering if anyone been reimbursed and about how long it to receive the check ?

received a call today from GM. was some guy who spoke broken english . trying to tell me its not a recall but a extended warranty problem for are 2021 GMC Acadia . we do know they contacted the repair shop we had work done at. so im guessing we will get a check in the mail soon .

talk to another guy at GM. couple days ago he gave me the claim #for my case . he also said it was sent to stage 2 for approval .said it had to bump up due to the amount seeing it over a Grand . was told it was approved by stage 2 but still had one more step to be gone though. but he did say expect for it to take till March before we see the check . now just yesterday we get a call for Howard the guy who speaks broken english .he also the claim guy i'm assigned to (ya me ) any way he called to say he waiting for stage 2 approval. i just played along like i had no clue of any of this stage 2 approval . ( seeing Howard not doing his job .he should of called me about a week earlier. told me it was bump up to the next level.)
