Anyone know a place that specializes in Mazda RX7 ??

Post by Kazer »

I'm getting a Mazda 1993 RX-7 Twin Turbo very soon. I love this car, rotary engine and twin turbo pumping out 255 HP stock. This should shuttup my Honda Accord and Prelude friends with their 200 HP cars.

I live in Jersey City and most of the autoshops here are very crappy. They do a very shitty job. Does anyone know any rotary engine specialists in NY ??

I'll be buying most of my stuff from http://www.rx7.com
So far I'm saving up to buy a downpipe, midpipe, Apexi GT exhaust, APexi power intakes, RP high flow throttle body, and other various cooling system upgrades. I'll probably have to buy a new ECU and such.

I'm purchasing my bodykit from Erebuni. Just doing a headlight conversion cost over $1,000. It cost just as my as the whole bodykit. I don't understand why it costs so damn much. If anyone knows where I can get a headlight conversion kit for cheaper please let me know. I'll be keeping the stock body for a couple of months though, I love the curves on this car.

I'll be taking out the stock twin turbo setup and putting in a big single Greddy turbo a year or so later. Luckily the twin turbo setup can get as much as up to 400 hp with a few simple upgrades and not having to go with a new turbo setup.

I just hope I don't get the RX7 and it is in need of a new engine and twin turbo setup. Hopefully I can use the warranty and get a new engine. If not It'll set me back a bit and I'll probably have to wait a year to do all the upgrades.
