Got a Nissan Sentra to 75 today... I was on the freeway (2nd time I've driven it) with my driving instructor, getting my final driving lesson. It's not that fast but it's the fastest I've ever driven myself

I got my driver instructors car up to 123km/h, and he was a tight guy!
As soon as I tried to pass another car (requiring the tranny to shift) he got pissed

mph is abnormal

123kmh is about 75mph I'd say
I had her at 150kmh a few weeks ago....mmmm....90mph and definetely way more left to go, but the traffic around me didn't think so

135 mph here in a 95 Escort GT. Not one of my brightest moments! lol Was shitfaced off of Quervo Gold and was racing my buddy. He had a 97 Eagle Talon. Plain Jane model with no Turbo. I started pulling away from him at about 130 hit 135 and he was a couple car lengths back and decided to take my foot off the throttle. Was turning about 6000 RPM's. Him and his car never lived that one down. That damn car felt like it was wanting to take off. Sober the fastest i ever had it was 120 and i chickened out cause it was floating pretty bad. We had my buddy's Toyota up to 125 mph one night 4 inches of lift and 32x11.50 Super Swamper TSL/SX tires. You couldn't hear anything and the whole truck was shacking cause of those tires. Only way we got it up that fast was by shooting down a 6% grade hill with it to the floor.

I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la ...

Several years ago, I took my sister's '95 Hyundai Accent (93 hp, 4 speed manual) to I95, 5 miles south of DC. I floored it for about 3 mins and got up to 105 mph. It felt like I was in a small plane... The steering wheel got really shakey and sensitive, I had to hold it firmly with both of my hands. Then it was time to hit the brakes...
My Dad owned a 96 GMC Sierra. Again, on I95, this time around exit 130 in VA, I got it up to 100mph very easily, but that was as high as the speedometer went and as soon as I hit 100, the brakes kicked in which scared the sh*t out of me. It was night time; I thought I hit a squarrel or something.
Finally, I got 99 Mercury Tracer (2.0L, 5 speed man) and got up to 115 on I95 around exit 150. I think it could do 120+ but I wasn't gonna try with the traffic and all.
Someday I'll get a Ferrari and do 200, or at least drive one for a few minutes and do 200.

I doubt it was the brakes that kicked in. Most newer vehicles especially trucks are governed to not go over a certain speed or RPM. I had a 97 Ford F-150XLT 4x4 with the Offroad package. At 105 it shut off the fuel pump and it felt like the brakes kicked in. When the engine is turning 4500 RPM's there's a lot of compression and it will slow you down pretty quick.
