Contest: Pait my car!

Post by Pugsley »

Today i got the bus runnin and drove it around the yard a bit and got to thinking... why not paint my car? So i want to do a decent rattle can job if possible and thought that sombody could think up a cool style so here it is...

The rules:

1. I plan to use flat paint... so you know for your photochops.
2. I dont want anything that cant be done with simple masking tape jobs.
3. NO off center racing stripes!!! unless you think it would tie in with somting.
4. Use solid colors.. no transitions.
5. The photochops dont have to look good... as long as they convey the pattern/style of paint job.
6. Ignore the trim.. just paint right over it cause thats what i plan to do.
7. Do not change the hood scoop in any way.. i plan to keep it the way it is.

Now your probbly asking what do you win? well your paint job will be used if you win.. so you can say YOU came up with it.

Im just sick of the way it looks and think its time so spend $20 to paint it. Good luck and here are the originals... post results here and ill let you know what i think.

And see if you cant work in some of this action!

Its my DD... just sick of it looking like that... and want it to be even MORE noticiable then it is...

and im liking that.. but as far as the teeth go i was going for this sort of look... i plan to replace the 120mm fan gaurd grill with a custom pointy teeth grill and then im gonna paint them white and put some blood on them.

but i am liking that... nice and simple to do.... what else you got... i figured youd be the one that woudl be doing this mostly!

Sweet, I didn't notice the whole front of the car consisted of fan grilles!! :D

If I have a chance, I may contribute. :)

yea.. i plan on letting this go for a while and such.. till the weather gets a little cooler so i can paint.

Thats good too... i wouldent paint the teeth all the way across the front since the grill might possibly become teeth... you dont have to have teeth in it... just an added thingy for you to do. you can also do stripes and crap too! Ill have to find that saturn that has the 2x4 wing on it... thats what got me wanting to paint my car.. it was black with green stripes at a 45 angle and it was a rattle can job and it looked good... now i want to paint my car! but the ideals are good none the less... keep up the good work. I allways wondered what it would look like black... and now i know!

one more thing.. rules are meant to be broken... if i like it and its not a pain in the ass to do id still consider it if you didnt follow them.

why not use all the leftover paint from other paintprojects. And this way when you get in to an accident the witnesses will have a real blast of figuring out what color your car was. :)

expanding on megavectra's image a bit I present you with the LANShark

you could also make the plates say LNSHARK or something to that effect :)
