I haven't been into car audio for a while but the last week i've been doing my research and piecing a new stereo system together. Everything i have now is out dated. My deck is 5 years old my sub is 4 years old my amp... Its all of 8 now and been repaired 3 times by me and needs to be fixed again.
System is going to be
1 Rockford Fosgate Punch 401S (113 bucks on ebay retail for twice that here local and its new!)
1 Kicker Solobaric 12" S12L5 4 Ohm (the Square subs) Gettin' this next paycheck. And its going into a sealed box to save some space in my trunk. Nice thing about these subs is that they don't need a giant box to sound damn good.
1 PIONEER DEH-P7500MP
Dash speakers are some high power Blaupunkt 3.5" 2 ways. and haven't decided on rear speakers but those will probably be Blaupunkt as well. I've always like the sound quality from their higher quality speakers. Had many sets of them and to me they sound better than some of the more expensive Kenwood, Infinity, Alpine speakers that are out there. and to top it all off i'm getting a damn car alarm. One of those with the remote starter and whatnot so my lazy ass don't have to freeze to death while i run out to start my car in the morning. I just have to remember to set the ebrake and leave it out of gear now LOL After my car's stereo was stolen i figured it was time to revamp and get some new stuff.
I got on Ebay tonight to price the stuff and i can't believe how cheap car electronics are going for on there. It was a shock to me either car audio prices have really went down hill the last 5 years or there is one hell of a mark up on retail. Most of the guys selling it had awesome evals so buying it doesn't concern me to much.

Dude, I'm an Ebay addict! I buy ALOT of stuff all the time on Ebay.
I've bought a car, car and home stereo stuff, vintage outboard motors, etc, etc and the list goes on. I never have problems with sellers there either and have met some very good people.

I use to ebay a few years ago sold a lot of stuff and made a lot of money. got out of that for a long time. Buying is more fun lol I've been rebuilding my VW and picking up a lot of parts on ebay for it. Whats really sweet is getting on ebay UK or DE.... European VW parts that cannot be found in this country can now be shipped to me at the click of a button
