Ok, I have a 98 F150 XLT Lariat.. I want to install an Eclipse (or similar brand) AVN unit link

Crutchfield says it won't fit.. But I've seen tons of my trucks online with them.. Anybody know any better or why it won't fit?

if you have a local stereo shop i would go there... they should know what they are talking about. I Have been out of that stuff for too long to know what any of the new crap is.

Sometimes places say that if you need a mounting kit for it. Like bestbuy's website said a particular stereo wouldn't fit in an eclipse(was thinking about buying one) and I talked to the installers there and they said it fit just fine with the mounting kit.
