ack the delorean is on that list i like that car. the stainless steel body would be great in modern cars. in ny rust kills our cars b4 they die of mechanical problems mostly.

the delorean was a neat car but it had all kinds of problems. at least the ones i had seen in the shop. from electrical to mechanical. and getting parts was no fun . it had some nifty gull wing doors and stainless steel body. but evilhorace is right they should of painted it. also it was doomed like the vixon motor-home - built from 1986-1989

back in the day this was the talk of camper world as motor-home of the future.
587 Vixen motorhomes were built by Vixen Motor Co., Pontiac, Michigan, between 1986 - 1989, when the company closed. Retail $40-$53k. 21-30 mpg. Three models: lift-top BMW diesel motor homes with 5 speed manual trans-axle, Fixed-top BMW diesel limos with 5 spd manual Trans-axle, and high-top GM V6 gas engine motor homes with four speed automatic Trans-axle. They have a 148" wheelbase and the wheels are 5" wider apart than standard automobiles. Empty weight is 5100#, GVW is 6700#
http://stannerair.hypermart.net/Vixenhome.htm they got great gas mpg.19-31 depending on model.
but lack of sales and cash flow killed them .

Actually, the gas station right next to my work had a Delorean sitting outside every day for like 5 years. Don't know if it worked or not, but it was always fun to look at. It certainly wasn't any worse for sitting outside.
