I see an new candidate for Overhaulin (if they still did it anyhow). They could just refurbish the car to new condition (wouldn't be hard from the looks of it). That's awesome that she sticks it to the lifetime warranty people. I try to. Sure wish I could have gotten in on the lifetime battery thing. I'd pay double for that.

It's amazing that an older woman was able to keep up with all the required maintenance to keep something of that vintage alive so long. Most cars from that era and until EFI usually suffered premature deaths from neglect as one had to keep everything just right or else. Back then, POS carbs and troublesome, high maintenance inferior ignition systems were always troublesome.

I'm going to guess the carb has been rebuilt a number of times. I'm also guessing that she probably found a good mechanic along the way that took care of her.
