New type of motorcycle for commuting?

This car is systematic, hyyydromatic...why it's greased lightning!

If everyone drove one, I'd consider it. I just don't feel safe on a bike. On top of that, I'm notorious for carrying a bunch of stuff around with me.

That thing is old. I remember seeing it on Beyond 2000. It was a great ideal then and it still is now.

I remember that too. Unlike normal bikes where you might survive a crash by being thrown, in that you'll just be crushed so no thanx.

You kidding, You could build it with a full cage and it would be stronger then a normal SUV. granted, you would then bounce off of whatever hit you, but you would not be crushed.

The ones shown in that video have no full cage or safety systems whatsoever. As-is, if in a serious accident or t-boned, glass would be all over and the side materials would have you crushed like a sardine. Like "smart cars", if all the other vehicles were the same you might be OK but not so in the real world.

Yeah, but that video is at least 15-20 years old... look how young Clarkson looks.
