LOL, never heard of that before.

LOL. When I want noise I'll hop in the Deuce and wear my hearing protection. It's LOUD! When I drive my car I want a quiet as possible to enjoy music/podcast.

Knowing how engines sound this crap would annoy me. I can listen to things and tell how they are doing mechanically and having fake sounds would throw me off.

Another reason I can add for buying a 2014 vs the 2015.

That's just sad. I've always liked the whine of a 4 or 6 cylinder engine. Not everything has to rumble.

Actually the idea goes way back and is nothing new, just different technology.

In the 60's, 70s, most of us flipped the air cleaner tops of your parents car so that it sounded cooler. We called it "the sound of power". When your parents asked why the car sounded different, you'd just shrug as if you had no idea.

Next years Mustang GT 350 will use a flat plane crank engine and those sound like 2 amplified 4 cyl. engines IMO. To me, and probably most other older guys who like the sound of old-modern HP V8s, that "new" V8 sound isn't going to be liked as well so perhaps they'll try to do things to make it sound different too?

Guilty. Did it on my Caprice and wagon.

Now I'm wondering if the thunderous roar of the 5.7L Hemi in my truck is really just a pipe...
