I can understand why it is higher in Miami, I am here this week and the people can not drive! That and I have see at least 6 different cars with both tail lights burnt out and the only working one is the middle one.

WV finally joined the 20th century last year with automated insurance coverage checking, which helped with rates. Before that it was like DC, where people would pay 1 month and then stop, and nobody cared. Had a car totaled once in DC hit a hit and run driver. I got the plate, but the cops said it came back to a vacant lot in Anacostia and there was no record of the driver. I eventually got a copy of the Ins Co report, and that was exactly what they found.

yes that was what I was told a lot of people driving around with no coverage . also how the law is on needed coverage here in florida . if they the law would start impounding drivers without insurance that make a big change . if there was a way to inform the state when auto insurance is drop on a car. they run a plate - pull it plate off if the car parked . impound the car if the driver found on the road. (plus a hefty fine with court date ) im sure this would come to a halt quickly in florida and rates would drop for all.

Foriday is like #5 on the Uninsured motorists list.. When I lived in Louisiana, Full Coverage for One car for me (after age 25) was about $1900 a year. Now, living in MD, 3 cars, 2 of them are liability only and 1 motorcycle runs me about $1200 a year. I've been looking for work in FL, but I'll have to keep this insurance thing in mind.. But, I'm sure there are some things that balance that out, if you think about it.. Lack of having to use the heater most of the time? lol
