Well got the heads finished. Had to clearance the rockers for the 1.550 springs. 240# seat pressure and 640# open so can run up to a .640 lift without issue. Still havent ordered pistons yet, I screwed up one of my pistons trying to press the wrist pin out so ordering a matched set of wiseco pistons.

Will be a couple weeks before it fires up. I have to order custom length pushrods, steel dist gear, valve cover gaskets, trans cooler line tubing (aluminum) and 14qt of oil and a couple filters. I'll have to figure out how to share a video on here. Never done that lol.

The easiest way to share is to create a YouTube account. You don't have to use your real name for your channel. Simply upload the video there and put the share link here.

Had to moment of rapture....heads are boat anchors. One casting has so much porousity in it, it could double as a sponge. Pissed coolant out of the exhaust runner through tiny pin holes....so I picked up a set of Dart Pro 1's used and worked them over. Lift off may be tonight...so close. Just need 8qts of oil, 4qts of trans fluid, and spark plug wire repair kit (end pulled off and I lost it!)

Dang, I know how that feels. Nothing worse than a ton of work only to have to start over.

Nothing more nerve racking and exciting as firing up an engine for the first time after rebuilding.
