You can lease those now in CA for about $500 per month with free fuel. Novel but how much $$ are you "saving"?

I dunno. Walrus is almost a compliment if you ask me. Considering the outside doesnt HAVE to look like ass since the internals arent that big, someone made a decision that this "looks good enough for a tech push"
That someone needs to have their head examined.

I'm glad to see the technology but the body needs redesigned. The flares on the rear need to go. The hood needs to fit flush with the fenders. That gap makes it look like they didn't know how tall the power controller was going to be when they designed the body. The grill also needs to be more closed. I think it makes it look cheap. I like the interior but the buttons appear to need texture. Flat buttons mean I have to take attention away from the road to see what I'm pressing. Having said this, I'm happy that this car exists. Hydrogen could be a viable automotive fuel if it is produced using green resources.

The front grill had to accommodate very large air intakes for the fuel cell.
I dunno, I actually kind of like it. All the cars from different manufacturers in the same class all look so much alike now that it's ridiculous. I can't tell the difference between a Camry and the Honda or Hyundai equivalent. I like that it stands out.

I guess that all depends on how much you drive (lots of people in CA have ridiculous commutes) and what your current car payment is.. When I hear how much some people's car payments are, I wanna slap them. lol Also, if you factor in the gas cost, even at 27mpg (which I think is about average) you're still paying at least twice the cost of the hydrogen. So, the savings is there and I think that the people with 1-2 hour daily commutes is who these are aimed at.

In all fairness, what are they getting for $500/mo?
Some people just have horrible credit and $500/mo gets them a nice Honda with a crappy APR. I've leased my vehicles for the last 15yrs and have averaged $400-500/mo with no money down. I've always had nice vehicles because I choose to have them and since I enjoy driving, I want to have certain creature comforts.
