The fastest driven and owned (used to restore old Mopars): 1969 RoadRunner, 440 with Stage V Engineering hemi heads (they made a set of heads that fit 440's with some block machining). This thing just had *too* much power (better than 700HP). Sold it since I couldn't afford a tranny that would hold up in it (blew 3 out in a month, less than 100 miles of driving). :( But WOW was that thing fast.

My old 60's type front engine rail dragster that did 8's and over 160mph in the 1/4 mile, a very scary ride too I might add.
Powered by a Chrysler 383cid overbored and highly modified engine, 12/1 compression, solid lifter cam, 727 trans with reverse valve body.
Was fun but a pain in that it could never be test driven on a street, always trailered to the track.
Eventually I needed money for a house more than I needed to keep it so I sold it to some guy from Michigan in '86.
I expect that my new ride (the 'Stang) will be the 2nd fastest car I'll own or have driven (I'm picking it up in 1.5 weeks on the 24th :) )
Probably the fastest production street car I've driven so far was a Porsche 911 turbo Carera,
another car to have someday.

I added another pic (above), both from '82-'83. I called it 'The Creeper' but that name wasn't on the car anywhere or told to the new buyer from Grand Rapids, MI in '86.

I've driven a Corvette a couple times, nice! Out of my 2 cars, I dunno which one is faster, probably the Talon over the Intrepid, but I never raced them...

I don't own a super fast car but I have driven my cousin's
Nissan 300ZX. Sucker cooks, I went 120 mph in it. I would go faster if it was my car! ;)

Doh!! I put this in the wrong post! :lol
