I might have you'all on speed. At one time, I had a Top Fuel license (NHRA Dragsters). My fastest run was clocked at 274.4mph.

In a standard car, I have run a BMW 850i up to 145. Ran out of straight road.

Fastest in a Road Car.................155mph in a Lotus Carlton (3.6 Straight 6 twin Turbo, circa 1990)
Fastest in a Rally Car..................125 in a Metro 6R4 at Millbrook, and we did that a lot, even sideways!
Fastest FEELING .................topping 100 mph in a Welsh forest, on a dusty track on edge of a mountain side, in a Talbot Sunbeam 1.6 Clubmans Rally car ............that was scary, and exhilerating, although I was Co Driver, head buried in the maps most of the time, but the big drop was my side of the car, dont think my mate Pat knew how big the drop was, and I never told him, we were going so well, no point putting him off! It was the best ever. Motor Sport rocks.........

I think I might put my crash helmet on the memory still scares me!

I topped 100mph a week ago......just got the rotted out intake manifold gaskets replaced and had to see what she could do :D
I probably could hit at least 120-130......but I like my license (and insurance rate :( )

Bret, if it cuts off at 115, then it probably wont go faster because the governor in the chip will lock it out. It will cut fuel and u wont be able to go any faster. It may mke a sputtering sound.

I did 220 kph in my friends Daytona V-6, about 138 mph I think.

Was dam fast until he got pulled over and towed about 20 km from town :(

The cop wrote him a ticket, towed the car and left us there with our cell phone. He was swearing at us and calling us idiots etc...

Had to call a friend to come get us and the tow job cost him alot :)

Ive done around 120 mph in my 1999 Windstar LX. Those vans just cruise.....
