I love Elon but I think he's having a full blown nervous breakdown. This isn't cool.

I think he needs some time away too. He's made a couple of mistakes lately. One was Tweeting about privatizing the company which is a big no no. I wasn't keen on the Saudi's offering to help make the company private either. He's probably going to be sued for libel because he couldn't let this go. He'll be lucky to end up with just a fine from the Feds if they think he was manipulating stock.

He is incredibly bright but apparently a poor manager. IMHO I think Tesla is going to end up as a boutique mfgr of Electric toys for rich people, but it could have been a mass market electric VW Beetle kind of thing. They have essentially burned through all their gov't rebate quota and I've read they can't make a dime on the model 3 unless it is the souped up version pushing 60K$. All the other carmakers are coming out with pure electric versions and he will be competing with BMW/Lexus. They are losing like 1$BB per quarter, and have no realistic prospects of breaking even. He has big SEC problems coming up b/c it is the most shorted stock, and his private finance stuff was basically BS.

Agreed he needs to step away for a while. He needs a Steve Jobs kind of guy to handle his light work for him.

The DOJ probe is in addition to two separate civil investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission. One, which resulted in a subpoena, is scrutinizing Musk’s tweets, and the other is looking into whether Musk misled investors over Model 3 production.

He's also facing a Civil Suit over the Pedo Tweet.

Ouch. Probably for the best. He needs to focus on design and technology, and let someone run the business end who knows what he's doing. The guy is like Steve Jobs... He's brilliant but impulsive.

Tesla's Board needs to close his Twitter account.

When shit like this can effect stocks is why I believe the stock market is one big scam.
