I heard about these tire some years ago. I thought the idea went wayside . now i just read there being tested again . wonder if they ever make it to the general public .if they work on lets say vettes and sports car if they make it to the general public .

The one big downside I see with these are that the rubber is bonded to the wheel. Every time you replace them, you have to replace the wheel too. However, for service vehicles and fleets, this would be a great idea.

I hope those are just prototypes. With the open walls shit can get in and cause imbalance. I hope production has a sidewall of some kind.
