amazing would of never guess there was that much prep . to start one of those type cars. when I was a teenager I was around formula race cars in the 60's . it wasn't anything like that to start on. you did have kill switch's and a way to prep the carb /carbs . and maybe jump the battery but really heating the oil is new one for me . but then again these were open wheel cars I was part of the crew on .--- Goofer it was a good neighbor who owned the car. he let me hang out with him and his race team .

That's pretty simple compared to modern F1 cars.

They wont start cold. The tolerances are so tight that its seized when not at operating temp. So there are ports to get hot coolant into it to get it up to temp just so it can turn over.
