In the wake of a voter-approved law, Subaru and Kia dealers in Massachusetts have disabled systems that allow remote starts and send maintenance alerts.

I miss the cars from the late 60's and early 70's. Easy to work on, limited or no smog devices and computers. I don't perform any maintenance on my 2 cars. Being an old fart now, I don't like laying on my back, or straining my body to reach areas of these new cars that the engine compartment is crammed full of "stuff".
