Anyone live near Jackson Michigan? I need help

Post by Mikendi »

I built my Mom a new computer and shipped it UPS - well packed too!! Anyway it arrived today and won't boot. Sounds like it took a shot in transit as one of the bay covers was ajar. She thinks the reset button is jammed in, but as anyone knows it's hard to diagnose anything from 700 miles away. If anyone lives out there and can check this out and perform a repair if need be I'll be happy to re-imburse you in cash, or trade. LMK - here are the specs:

Generic 300w ATX case & PSU
1.1ghz T-bird
256mb DDR
Chaintech M-ATX MOBO
GF2 MX AGP
20gb Maxtor
CD/CDRW/fdd
onboard sound

Everything but the CD's & GF2mx are new - thanks :)

All better now :) Turns out the reset button was stuck in and probably happened when they were taking it out of the box. The far out theory is that a bubble wrap bubble pushed it in when it got whacked. I'm sticking with the owner error theory myself ;)
