Just got back from AMD giveaway in Philly

AMD was giving away 200 Athlon XP 1800+ cpus, MSI KT266 mobo, Coolermaster fan/hs combos at 6AM this morning in a parking lot near the Philly ZOO.

I met one of our members up there ( Danielm7) and basically we stood around in a parking lot with about 1000-1200 other peeps as the AMD reps called out ticket #s of the winners. Both of us came close ( 4 out of 5 digits a couple times each) but sadly, no cigar.

One of the guys we were talking to ( couple of engineering students from Drexel) was a winner so that was kinda cool. Still, it was worth it for a shot at a combo worth $300-325 or so, for free. They also passed out t-shirts and some cheapo tool kits.
