Ft: Deal Pending

Post by Gillbot »

I'm looking to replace my server with something a little more streamlined. I really don't have a good use for this VP6 rig so I thought i'd offer it up for trade.

What's included:
Abit VP6 Mobo http://www.thetechzone.com/reviews/moth ... ndex.shtml
Dual PIII 1GHz CPUs http://processorfinder.intel.com/detail ... Spec=SL52R
Two S370 Heatsinks
1GB of Memory
ATi Radeon 7000 (I think) AIW AGP 32MB Video Card with breakout box, remote, etc

My heat is here: http://heatware.com/eval.php?id=174

I can get pics for those really interested.

What i'd like to get is a simple mobo/cpu that has as much built onboard as possible, especially LAN. ANY cpu will suffice really, as all this machine does is serve files.

Actually, I bet it's still a pretty good performer. Dual CPUs are known for being smooth running in Windows. Just don't play too many games. I've got a dual 2400+ rig that still feels snappy to me even after using Core2 Duos.

It still does quite well with everything i've thrown at it, I just don't need it and would prefer something with everything integrated on the mobo so I can mount it to the underside of my desk w/o a case.

Interested in a ASUS P4PE with a 2.4GHz cpu? I think I still have it laying around somewhere. I'll have to look when I get home this evening.

Sale or trade? I might have an offer on a trade for this VP6 but I can offer up something else in trade such as 4x256MB PC2100 DDR, 2x1GB DDR2-800 GSkill or 2x1GB Micron D9 DDR2 ram.
