can you get VEs? How much? I *might* possibly want to get one to play with. =)

I never thought I'd see Hawk asking for a Radeon!!!!
Greg/Hawk: I'm still looking for an AIWRad if the price is right.
Thanks,
Bill

BTW: How do the VIVOs compare with the 32 DDRs in speed/smoothness?

LOL they are the dual display new retail ddr ones. I dont know what to ask for a ve to tell ya the truth.

Speed wise there is a differance but it ant super big. I mean I have 2 vivos and a aiw in my systems and the aiw keeps p with the vivos no probs in games. looses a few frames here and there but still More then playable.

Heh, yeah. The guy I get mine from doesn't want to get VEs cause the profit margin is too small for him or something (I just want a couple to play with!!! =P) Oh well...and nexus is right, the 32 MB/AIW is only a couple frames slower than the 64 MB/VIVO, and shouldn't matter for lower resolutions.

I love my 32 DDR. Wife now has my G400 Max, but I'm thinking of getting her an AIW Radeon. Last time you had 'em Hawk, I wound up in a trade negotiation with an irregular that washed out, leaving me with no birthday present for her.

Plug for Greg: If you haven't used a Radeon or G400 at 1280 and above, you have no idea of how good image quality can be. I can't see any difference between my Radeon and G400 at 1600 and above, either.

Who me? =) I am not paying anything, since I can't buy one. But seeling how they are selling for $100 on the net, I don't imagine you being able to get much more than that. Have you tried it out yet? Too bad the VE is slow in games.

Hey guys! All the reviews and info on the VE that I have seen indicate that it's primarily an office-featured card with some good 3d, as opposed to a full-featured 3d retail card. It has no Charisma (T&L) engine. It does support the best dual display features you'll find.

On the 64mb VIVO vs 32DDR & AIW performance, I am thinking that we really don't have much software that will show off what the extra 32mb can do for you. Maybe later this year, or early next year, we'll see some games that really take advantage of the extra texture handling capacity.

Anyway... Radeons rock. Kudos to Hawk for being on the front end of making these cards available at cut prices.

Bump for the bad speller.

;)
