I'd go with that panaflo. Both are rated about the same for airflow and noise, but panaflo's info is usually more accurate.

But remember, it says "This fan comes with 3-pin bare wire leads." So you'll need a connector. ;)

At around 35dba, that isn't too bad. But I'd suggest a fan controller. I use one to control a tornado fan and keep it quiet. Though I doubt the panaflo has that dive bomber sound the tornados can give.

900A, nice heatsink. Congrats :chug

I will never buy another fan again except Nexus fans. They pull huge amounts of air and are dead silent. I now have 4 of their 80mm and 2 of their 120mm fans in use between my server, workstation and LAN party rig.

Here's the review that got me interested in these fans in the first place: http://www.xtremecomputing.co.uk/review.php?id=76

Coolerguys is the only reputable place I've found them:

92mm fan:

80mm fan:

Well I do appreciate the nexus idea but they dont seem to push that much air.. I need a 92mm fan and the nexus 92 pushes only 27 CFM.. My case is running very warm right now along with my processor so I am going to go with one of the louder panaflo fans probably which pushes 56 CFM. Also about the bare wire thing im going to get them from svc.com which also sells a connector for 75 cents which fixes the bare wire ordeal. :) I also doubt the noise is like a dive bomber and im kinda broke right now so ill probably wait till summers over for a fan controller. Im taking a huge load of summer classes so Im not making alot of money this summer :( Thanks for the input though

Well I got the panaflo and also I got the thermalright slk 900a.. Im also using Artic Silver 5
This setup has lowered my temps over the stock AMD HSF.. But not by much.. Seems to be by about 3 degrees C... This makes no sense to me.. My CPU is now running idle at ~ 56C vs 60C..
I put my AS5 about the thickness of a sheet of binder paper because thats what they said to do on the AS5 website.. Also my case is completely dust free.. the wiring is as much out of the way of my airflow as possible.. It was kind of in the way because I cant move it any further over due to other compenents on my motherboard.. I have intake in the front exhaust in the back.. also my PSU has intake and exhaust on it.. I have a 2800+ Barton. Ive tried EVERYTHING to lower my temps.. At this point im just thinking it HAS to be my house/location. We have no air conditioning and its been almost 90F So thats one thing.. Plus this room has no windows or anything to vent air. Also I live in northern california.. I guess its decently hot here.. not really humid or anything though. I dont know. Im just disappointed that I spent 60 dollars to lower my cpu temps by about 2-4 degrees...

I've used Panaflos and the Nexus. Trust me, whatever the numbers say the Nexus moves more air.

If you have no air conditioning, I could have told you you'd never get your temps much lower. 60C is acceptable BTW. My system hovers around 56 - 60C. Mainly because it's in a tight corner next to the server and the two of them running siide by side heat up the ambient air around them. It's nice to get thetemp lower if possible, but no need to obsess about it. 60C is well within normal operating temps for modern CPUs.

Since you have no AC in that room I would highly recommend you leave the cover off the computer. That will help.

But in all seriousness, modern computers are NOT designed to work in non airconditioned environments.

I did take the side off the case and the temps went up about 10 degrees lol : /
Im not really obsessing about it its just that I got a brand new barton 2800 that was running at 70C under load and was really running like garbage.. Ive noticed now that it runs at 60 under load the performance is MUCH better..

I'd be very concerned if you're running at 70C. 60C is acceptable.
