Shuttle SN85G4 v2 Fan

For some reason the fan on my shuttle which runs on an athlon 64 3400 stopped working, i've tried changing the fan settings in the bios and ive also switched fan connectors on the mobo but it still does not work. any suggestions on a solution to my problem would be greatly appreciated

oh yea n if i need to replace the fan what would be a good for my shuttle

replace it wit a good heatsink.

Ditto. I always replace chipset HSFs with Zalman long finned heatsinks.

Those fans never last long.

Be aware that the Zalman that SMB linked to above requires that your present HSF uses 2 mounting holes on the mobo. Most chipset HSFs are this design.

A rare few are glued onto the chip with no mounting hardware attaching it to the mobo. If that's what you have then you'll need one of these:

Wich fan died?

Doesn't have 2?


If it is the big fan that blows out the back, just get a good 80mm (it should be a 80mm fan) fan. I replaced mine (a dif system) with just a standard LED fan

yea its da 1 in da back but its an 80x80x15mm & im having a hard time finding 1
