AMD Ryzen 1600 / 1500 review at Guru3d

The Ryzen 6-core 1600 at $249 is very impressive and beats Intel in most applications. However, it still isn't as good as Intel at 1080 gaming. When you go to 2K and 4K the processors run closer together.

I would still wait until the motherboard manufacturers get their bios sorted out. They are still making optimizations. AMD should've released this processor first rather than their 1700 and 1800 lines. At $249, this hexacore is on my shortlist for a new build.

They look interesting, but agree on the wait until they shake out the dust bunnies. My main rig is a 4790k @ 4.4 so no real reason up upgrade for the forseeable future. There seem to be some memory compatibility issues that need to be worked out.
