The 87000K review is also up but this processor looks very impressive at $260 and at 6 cores.

Yeah, I've been hearing a lot of good stuff on this processor. Surely a direct response to the Threadripper.

The 8700k is a beast. Why do they keep switching chipsets :( . I know it's the $$ but discouraging. It also throws a ton of heat.

HardOCP has a review with the 8600K and 7600K at 5Ghz and a Ryzen 7 at 4Ghz.

It's interesting to see where the extra 2 cores of the 8600K kick in and the 8 physical cores plus 8 virtual cores of the Ryzen 7 have the advantage.
