NT kernel is trying to send ICMP Type 3 ...

Post by Radboy »

Installed freebie sygate personal firewall (v4.2) few days ago to demo. Seems same as Zone alarm, in that you grant permission for various apps to connect to the Net. But I now get messages ~ 1/day:

"NT kernel is trying to send ICMP type 3 (destination unreachable) packet to IP addy 68.6.xx.xx"

Never seen this before, so I disallowed.

Anybody know the poop?

What OS?

What's running in the background?

You have an anti-virus program? Is it up to date and have you done a full scan? Might be a trojan.
