Headphones?

Post by PreDatoR »

I'm lookin' for a new set of headphones for gaming. Don't know a damn thing about them but want something that is realy comfortable and a really good sound quality. I've got a cheap set of Koss right now. They aren't bad but after about an hr they start killing my ears. Want a set that wraps all the way around my ear and that is comfy. And where's a good place online to buy them at?

I would recommend the Sony MDR-V900 or their cheaper siblings the V600's. The sound quality on the 900's is much better, and I use them for listening to music and playing counter-strike. You can find them here :

A better Sony set of cans is the MDR-V6. I liked my 12-year-old pair so much, I picked up another pair for work (I, too, was using some cheap Koss cans...and totally sympathize with ya)

Another vote for the Sony MDR-V6. EXCELLENT phones. Outstanding quality and very comfortable. I discovered them when doing some sound work for a friend who has a recording studio. He had 5 of those he was using as monitor headphones.

Sennheiser for top of the line, Sennheiser or Grado for a moderate set.
