I never upgraded ram in an jet either, but I gutted a pc in the back of a truck going up a mountian one time. Does that count?

System was powered by a UPS plugged into a power inverter wired to an extra battery in the truck which was charged by the altenator. I can relate to the what if! What if I had XP crap then and happened to decide to install extra ram or what not while it was opened?

Reason for gutting system was it would not boot, simple problem, was something like loose ram or reseating the CPU. SO yep, what if I had a bad memory chip, buy a new ram stick and call in on a nearby payphone??? :) Grab a hotel at 9am just to call M$ and re-active?

They seam to think no-one uses a PC without a modem I geuss. What Dumb A$$e$!

I have one desktop I transport real often, no modem, no "NET" at all! Records bands off their sound system at live shows. Not great but does the job. I carry a few spare parts just in case, so like what if I had XP and was on location and had to install a replacemant part. No way to activate, just dead in the water with a working un-useable system!

No XP for me ever, No activation stuff for me EVER!

LOL god that would be funny. :D But yes, I'm an Office 2k user (when i'm on my PC, anyway), and i can't see any reason for anyone to need or want Office XP.
Long live Linux!
