i planning to upgrade my system right now and this is what i have
msi kt3 ultra2
athlon xp 1700+@1.6ghz
256ddr pc2100
radeon 8500le 64mb
20gig maxtor 7200
dvd-rom
48x12x48x cdr-w
onboard sound.....
those are the basics
with the money i have now
abit NF2-s mobo
2x 256mb pc2700
or
a radeon 9500 pro
or
2x 512 pc2700
athlon 2200+ tbred
this 3rd option is very very maybe

I'd go the 9500 pro, just to wait and see what comes out soon. I'm on the same boat as you, I need to upgrade also, but still want to wait and see what AMD is going to do next.

I'm sure someone else will have some opinions too. Good lukc with teh upgrades.

well instead of the radeon 9500pro theres the nvidia 4800 128mb ddr vivo retail
for about the same price as the 9500pro..........
what to do???!!

The 9500 Pro can be soft modded to a 9700 Pro with a little bit of work.. Not as fast at the Actual 9700 Pro, but I'm sure it outperforms the TI4800.. Just my thoughts.. eGo
