IE6 prob???

Post by Xboxgp »

Hey all,
I've been forced to switch to Netscape these passed few days due to a problem with IE6. You see, every single time I go on IE, it begins to blink and I can't type any text when it blinks in. So I have to wait for like 2 sec. to type, then it blinks again. It blinks constantly like that every 2 sec. and in order for it to stop, I have to close all the windows and start it over again. Weird thing is, the IE icon on the desktop also blinks. I've tried running a complete system virus scan with AVG, searched for spyware with Ad-aware6 and Search&Destroy. Tried re-installing IE and getting all the patches, with no luck. Anyone had this problem before or have any ideas on how to stop it. I really don't want to have to resort to wiping out everything on my pc and starting all over again. :(
Thanks

Do you use a popup blocker? If so try to disable it.
Do you have the latest reference files for Ad-aware6 and Search&Destroy?

Don't use Netscape (especially not 4.x), better try Mozilla 1.5 or 1.6b or Firebird.

Nope, never had a pop up blocker. I'm pretty used to IE now, would hate to have to change browsers. But I might try that Firebird browser since I've heard a lot of good about it. I always keep up to date on the reference files for the anti-virus and anti-spyware software to.
