Logitech G400 Gaming Mouse. I bought 2 more of them so I wouldn't have to worry about it for a few years. Almost identical replacement for the MX518. Love it.

thanks gang....umh...lappie touchpad??? I can't even open the start menu with those things, always just disable them and add a wireless mousie.
ordered a g400 - $29.99 shipped at amazon....the G500 looked confusing-too many buttons. lol

Lolif you give them a thorough chance, you can get quite good with them. Though admittedly, some touchpads do suck quite badly. I use a Logitech Bluetooth mouse on my desktop. Some people complain about lag/latency on wireless mice, I just don't see it. They have always been snappy to me.
When all else fails, replace the user.
