What can I do with an IBM AS 400e?

I have an IBM AS 400e computer. It seems to be SCSI? ( I'm guessing as I've never owned SCSI stuff )
It has a PowerPC 630 chip on the motherboard, and it has a CD-ROM, hard drive, tape backup and another unidentified part ( part of network modem? ).

I was thinking of pilfering the hard drive, CD-Rom and Tape backup but it appears to be SCSI. All the computer equipment in my house is IDE.

Could I use it as a network server? Could I use it as a computer ( how do I install Win98? on it if I did? )
I have lots of other stuff laying around to complete the system if I did.

If you have any input on what to do with this let me know.

Essentially the IBM OS400 and DB2 are Unix based so ya might try to install some unix variant on it.

It ain't worth much huh?, It is SCSI I take.
The CD-Rom is 4x according to IBM site. The tape backup would come in handy.

It is a cool looking Black Box. Perhaps I'll try to trade it or sell it.

It would make a great router, I bet.
