Hi all,

I've never had to flash my bios, but my friend recently bought a 60gig hard drive, and it seems that the current bios is unable to see it. and I DONT want him installing maxblast on the drive.

So I've come to the conclusion that we need to flash his bios. We downloaded the flash utility and the latest bios, can someone either walk us through the process or point us to a good site?

hey, i have that sme board. Went through a few flashes with it and they all went fine, just make sure you have the instructions handy and follow em. don't forget to clean the cmos afterwards, and don't be scared when the PC reboots itself when you do clear it, I know it scared the shizen outta me the first time i did it... lol

You think there'd be an industry standard BIOS procedure, but Noooooooooooooo - every one a white knuckle job - LOL
